We hope to see you in Mobile in October!
Grand Hotel Marriott Resort
The Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, known throughout the south as the Queen of Southern Resorts, is located on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. The Grand Hotel, built in 1847, served as a Confederate hospital during the Civil War, and is currently undergoing a renovation to be completed in spring 2018. Gorgeous sunsets can be enjoyed from the path that surrounds the property or from a fishing pier that stretches out over the Mobile Bay.
The Fairhope area is known for the many artists and authors who call it home and the galleries that dominate downtown. And, you will find locally owned restaurants, cafes, art galleries, parks, theaters, shopping, and plenty of attractions to enjoy in Mobile, home to America’s original Mardi Gras.
Fall temperatures in Mobile can range from comfortable to warm. Highs in October tend to run in the high 70s, with lows falling into the 50s at night. Rainfall amounts decline throughout the fall, and Mobile typically receives a little over 3 inches of precipitation in October.
Layered clothing is best. Long or short sleeves are recommended but have a sweater or light jacket available since it may be cool in the meeting rooms and at night. Casual business attire is suitable for all meeting sessions and receptions.
The fall workshop is an excellent opportunity to earn continuing professional education credits. Earn CPE credits as you attend sessions, confer with colleagues, and meet industry leaders from across the region. Participants who attend all educational sessions offered will be able to earn up to an estimated 15 CPE credits.
The Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
