Distinguished Service Award
The SACUBO Board of Directors is accepting nominations for the Distinguished Service Award. The
award is given annually to recognize an individual in the SACUBO region for his or her
distinguished service to higher education in the field of business and financial management. The
award will be presented at the SACUBO Annual meeting in Nashville, TN.

2010 SACUBO Award Winner
Gaye Manning B.B.A., M.B.A.
Ms. Gaye Manning,
winner of the 2010 SACUBO Distinguished Service Award, is Vice
Chancellor for Finance and Administration at Southern Arkansas University Tech. Ms. Manning
has twenty-four years experience as a higher education administrator and is responsible for the
campus operational and capital budgets, accounting operations, investments, human resources,
payroll/benefits, campus procurement, operating and capital leases, financial aspects of
construction projects, and campus post office, in addition to several Auxiliary Services. She
is also Chief fiscal Officer of the Arkansas Fire Academy, the Arkansas Environmental Academy and
the SAU Tech Career Academy.
Ms. Manning has held several positions with AACUBO, SACUBO, and
NACUBO. Among these positions were Office of President of AACUBO (1994-1995), President of
SACUBO (2003-2004), and Chairperson of NACUBO (2007-2008).
She has received many distinguished awards such as the 2008
Distinguished Alumni Award for Southern Arkansas University, and the 2000 Arkansas Association of
Two Year Colleges Outstanding Staff Award.
Gaye has served, and continues to serve, as an outstanding role model
and highly engaged volunteer in her community by providing distinguished services to multiple
community boards and foundations. She has served on the SAU Tech Foundation Board, Camden
Public Facilities Board, and as a volunteer for Arkansas Children’s Hospital and the American
Cancer Society, to name a few.
Whether fulfilling her role as chief business
officer, or serving in a volunteer position, Ms. Gaye Manning’s pursuit of excellence is evident in
every task she undertakes. Her desire is that others are impacted in a positive way through
her leadership skills and work ethic.
