Responsible for leading the business office, financial strategy and planning, accounting and purchasing at the Clemson University Restoration Institute (CURI). Performs other duties as assigned.
Budget Strategy: 25% - Essential
Initiates, plans and manages budget performance and long-range planning meetings with leadership on a regular basis to discuss strategic initiatives and capital project needs. Ensures that investments and commitments are reflected, as appropriate, in planning documents. Monitors and analyzes accounts and projects as part of budget planning processes.
Resource Planning: 25% - Essential
Supports the Associate Vice President and his/her staff in providing sound decision support and executive leadership by evaluating and analyzing the economic and financial viability of strategies and initiatives by using management strategies, financial accounting and management, complex financial modeling, economic indicators, variance analysis, human resource planning, customer relations, and implementation of new technologies.
Decision Support: 25% - Essential
Develops and maintains common data sets required to support comprehensive planning, strategy and decision support. Participates in efforts to plan, design, develop and provide complex and relevant information to the Associate Vice President, planning teams, department chairs, etc. Develops and proposes new policies as appropriate.
Planning: 25% - Essential
Directs and consults efforts to develop financial models, analysis and business research support for initiatives and ongoing operational planning in conjunction with university officials. Develops both short-range and long-term financial and resource allocation plans and strategies in support of operations, programs, capital plans, projects, and other initiatives.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and professional experience directly related, such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
Develops Department Budgets - Responsible for developing one or more departmental budget(s). Estimated amount of budgetary responsibility in dollar amount must be added.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
