Job Summary

Provides project leadership for business process improvement and innovative projects campus-wide. Functions as project manager for large, complex and critical projects for various Clemson University functional areas. Leads change management process for university wide projects. Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

Project Management & Communication: Manages and coordinates multiple projects from inception to completion. Defines and prioritizes project requirements, develops work plans, collects relevant data and information, schedules recurring meetings & monitors timelines. Provides direction, leadership & support to project team members with a focus to complete the project on time, within scope and budget. Provides daily decision making on critical project issues & ensures all appropriate individuals are included or informed. Develops policies and maintains documentation on all decisions associated with the process. Acts as liaison with stakeholders to ensure cohesive project team management. 50% - Essential

Change Management: Manages enterprise-wide change management initiatives. Assesses the impact of initiatives and develops communication and training plans that ensure effective project implementation. Ensures appropriate sponsorship, buy in and involvement from key stakeholders, as well as consistent, appropriate communication throughout the entire implementation period. 30% - Essential

Lean program assistance: Assists the Lean Director with further integration and growth of the Lean program throughout Clemson University including facilitating Value Stream Mapping Events and providing Project Management to Lean projects. 20% - Essential

Minimum Requirements

A bachelor's degree and experience managing large projects of moderate complexity and risk.

Supervises Work of Others - Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.

Acts as Lead - Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work.

Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Work Schedule

Standard Hours: 37.5; Salary range is $71,700 to $91,400.
